Nigerian star set to perform in Zimbabwe

Multi Award winning Nigerian star David Adedeji Adeleke, better known as Davido by his legion of fans, is expected to perform in Harare, Zimbabwe’s capital on August 29th.

The ‘Skelewu’ hit maker will be making his debut show in the country following a string of performances in Kenya, Malawi, Burundi, Gambia, Malaysia and Zambia.

The American-born Nigerian is expected to treat his fans to his new songs as well as his hit ‘Fans Mi’ which features US rapper Meek Mill, the song currently doing well on MTV Base, Channel O and Trace.

The long night will see the artist sharing the stage with Zimbabwe’s own talents, such as Jay C, Soul Afrika, Trevor D, Roki and a turntable contest from local DJs led by Ottis ‘The Flow’ Fraser, Raydizz, Raxx, Nosh, Ash Stylez, Garry Bee and Stavo.

In one of his tweets the Afro hip hop singer confirmed his travel arrangements to Zimbabwe in what has been described as his long awaited excitement.

“Next stop cotonou Zimbabwe Paris”,

“Next stops LA, Kenya, Malawi, Burundi, Gambia, Malaysia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Angola…..see u soon!! Get your Tickets!!” he tweeted.

Davido came into the limelight in 2011 following the success of his song “Back When” that featured Nigerian rapper Naeto C.

He owns his record label ‘HKN Music’ and recorded an album titled “O.B.O Genesis”.

He became MTN brand ambassador at the age of 13. Focused on his goal, he began working with different artistes in Nigeria, namely NPZ and Dammy Krane among others.

He has also worked with popular afro-music stars like Wizkid, Ice Prince, Tuface, Naeto C, Olamide, Lynxxx and Skales.

After dropping his popular album “Dami Duro”, his popularity skyrocketed making him one of the most loved Nigerian afro-pop singers today.
