Naked Island

In your majesty

I used to surrender and give in,

Like a portrait

Under your hands,

And Rest in peace;

By your words, Unsaid

I used to know me and read and define myself

In the silence of the warm Touch

That could so much absorb me;

So easy was to read between the lines,

To me,

You were the ocean that Called me

And I could Easily drawn

(Walk into it)

And let the waves Seduce me,

Willing to die;

I gave it to you

Without any expect(ations)

To rule it my majesty/ your highness

And, That’s, the reason you

Failed;

“Who knows what he wants?”

I bet you have missed me to Death,

You, the Daring, shy Lord!!

Panicked by my Love as

Revealed;

Pure willing calm Love seeking Land,

With Jeweled sandstones of emotion

Shining Gold by the sun shine

In your realm,

Had totally Surrendered;

All your life

You could never expect to be So Great

My Lord,

For a reason so great:

-my “Love”;

Your Palace in my heart

Would terrify you,

You,

A humble Mortal man,

My soul’s Murderer;

And I Loved the waves’ touch

As they surrounded my Land,

All and All around

As your arms wrapped around me;

You would take away my pieces in every approach

As you filled me

And I fed your desire,

Just like a doll ! . . .

“Goddess” and the “Mortal man”,

“Love” and “Desire”

Heavy Burden

A man with a big bag of garbage

Three times larger than him

Another bag in his hand

Would Swing;

Running with broken shoulders

Bend to the knees

It’s cold to the bones

I’m sure that he didn’t choose this;

Your eyes on my wallpaper

I’ve been calling you my Angel,

Your look

Your smile so soothing

Now,

It suddenly occurs;

And I remember the family,

My cosy little home and

Friends!

You almost three times my age

Of course I exaggerate,

We have exchanged life through poetry and We, Have shared;

I feel like a stranger

The train is running fast

Outside,

Nothing but ruins

And I fantasize a better world

A better place

Where Santa would surprise him

And fill the bag with diamonds

Some bread, wine and meat;

I’ve lit a candle with hope deep inside me

But the flame Dances in the wind

When would it be blown?

Something heavy “on” my heart

Thrills through me

And the wonder

Where was he going

What would he indulge?

And I feel the guilt to feel so insecure!

Oh God,

How shall I carry the luggage

Without prayers and You?

Transcend beyond the Flesh

She looked three decades

With breast that would explode

As if satan hands were to take out

The heart and the liver;

The Lake Was as dry as a desert with no traces of life

But fortune traces of hurt lover’s soul

To be Abandoned;

Abandoned like a lifeless property

Possession;

Lifeless Corp who had finally given up!

Could hear the soul scream out the deep dark wet

At that Dark Bloody Night

Surrounded by wolves and skeletons

Dragon and Monsters;

From the Giant wide teeth,

Blood dropped Down

So thirsty was the “Wild” Life,

Satan rules Life Here

I’m pretty Sure;

Her only nightmare when she looked three

Was this,

How a Child “Knows” if Not Reborn to Suffer?

Oh

Yes;

It Drives me crazy but

Feels good at least to know;

Live,

In dreams

My starving child

Eat,

As you close your eyes

The waste of the Rich which is thrown out;

They’re eating your share

They are wearing your shelter

Big Huge Monsters

Thirsty Wolves,

The

Cold blooded diamond wearers doing charities to feel better and

Better;

Taking away from you

YOUR Portion with

Pride;

Her “Love” looking three decades in the photo,

Five decades ago

And She would fly with thirst to reach his spirit and

His smile;

How crazy one could Be my Child!

She would make love as She would close her eyes and

“Transcend”

Beyond the Flesh;

Skin and Fat rule this life

Come On,

All “Garbage”!

How would she look like

Five decades later

With the heart

The poor soul

Still,

Bleeding and Suffer

In the World of Devil?!!

I will Survive and Shine one day by my Words

Killing the “Wild” around the Wet;

She will find a Door

A way out,

A way out with no Return,

This Time

As she Joins the Light;

You will eat

One day as you grow and if So . . .

Otherwise

Hope I lose my memory as I age

Or Go totally Insane!

Put her in care center my Son,

If You exist by then

and go Enjoy

“Blind” Days

Or

Bleed and Suffer!

Sarah Pedramnia

I was born in 1983 in Tehran, Iran. I grew up in a family with humanist values and beliefs and was three when we realized that I was epileptic and was twelve when I realized that I have more to do than a normal person to be able to stand in society.

In 2009 I went to university and studied English Translation and am working on my thesis for a Masters. I have been working on poetry writing and fiction as a freelance writer and undertake complimentary literature studies.

I have approximately 50-80 poems in Persian and a few poems in English. I consider myself not as a professional English poet but with good potential and some good English poems.

I started writing two novels in Persian last year, ’10 days in love’ and ‘Two days in Paris’ and may just turn them into scripts.
Along with poetry, I am writing a story in English ‘The Lady Lavender’ which is a story of the conflicts and life of a woman in the 1970s, not accepted by society due to certain circumstances. Her name was chosen by the process of making Lavender Oil, in which you should first cut the sprigs and then let them dry. It was after my divorce three years ago that my perception radically changed and most of my works reflect my own life and challenges faced in my country as a member and in life as a woman.
