Chaos Becalmed

I pray one day soon

you shall make peace

with your inner demons.

That the chaos within

your heart will becalmed.

And then, perhaps, for

the first time in years,

life will smile back at you

and delightfully welcome

your spirit home once again.

The Beaten Door

You may live within the storm;

repel the harshest rain.

Dance through it all

feeling less of the blame.

Walk through a beaten door;

unveil a light once again.

Love yourself through it all;

impervious to the pain;

feeling dishonored shame;

wiping up the crimson stains.
