The Geometry of LOVE

Love squared by Love

rounding each edge,

geometrizing each end

equalizing its alphabets,

circling its triangles.

Infinitesimally surrounding

transitory planes and lanes

within our pyramidal silences,

giving new lines and directions,

intersections of re-constructions

compasses and conjunctures

within rebellious Mathematics

Endless rounded prismatic longings

leaving behind the theory of angles

rising trigonometry of the hearts

forgetting about scientific breaths

inside seven circles oscillating harmonies

Love squared by Love

converting the Word into ART

orbiting among infinite number of points

till can be found just a line between me and you

galactically entangled, universally connected

with simplified distraction, amplified seduction

sometimes equivalent, sometimes equidistant

and the sum of the cosmic Algebra in two hearts.

Love squared by Love

in perpendicular stars and parallel moons

crossing the lines in algorithmic dances

and waves of psychedelic sensations,

kabbalistic stardust hologram inceptions

rhythmic complexities and elastic canvas.

Neither perimeters nor cross-sections,

neither postulates nor heart formula

when I am blue and you are green,

answers not to be based on x-y-z coordinates

or figure-ing out to be even

but ever-being presently present!

Love squared by Love

applied symmetries at Platonic shapes,

an amalgamation of binaries and analogues

sometimes with no common denominators,

no obtuse views but endless Mandelbrotian spirals

where human is able to accept a simple deviation.

Love squared by Love

embracing your concavity into my convex world,

summing up the trigonometry of our cosmic hearts

As LOVE tangles between two dots…

Love!

Not a mundane Geometry!

How long have you been writing poetry?

My love for poetry started when I was just 9 years old, when I registered myself in a creative poetry writing group. It was a turning point for me as I started to discover the mysteries of the written word and its impact on the readers. I was just 6 years old when I registered myself at a public library, being fascinated by reading. The passion for reading, composing and reciting the written words extended to choosing the first degree, a BA in English and Romanian Philology. While a teenager, I was published in various journals of poetry.

Who are some of your favorite poet(s) and poem(s)?

At the initial stage, being just a teenager, I was very much influenced by Romanticism, Realism, Symbolism, Avant-garde, followed in my university times by Existentialism, Surrealism, Transcendentalism. Poets and writers influenced me in my own literary development as well as approach of life. Just to mention some at that time: Dostoevsky, Camus, Kafka, William Blake, Umberto Eco, Leo Tolstoy, Emily Bronte, Alfred Tennyson, Robert Browning, TS Eliot, Plato, Henri Bergson, Jean Paul Sartre, Victor Hugo, Paul Verlaine, Carl Jung, Immanuel Kant, Johann Wolfgang Goethe, Henry David Thoreau and so on.

Since an early age, I have always viewed writing poetry as the perfect medium which is able to depict profound unfathomable complexities of someone’s life or life itself, to render into words that which is unsayable, that ineffable, which can be truly deeper than the language itself. Through my writings, as well years of readings, I always looked to seek something beyond that which was apparent to others! I was fascinated to see how different aspects of truth were transfigured by different emotions, how experiences were poetized. I pursued seeing beauty expressed in all forms of art, not just poetry; creating a “thirst” within me to explore more and more for the knowledge of the mystery beneath and beyond it, as a symbol of something greater and higher with its own power to immortalize the expressions over the years.

During this exploration a huge impact on me had as well the Oriental philosophies, like Taoism, Zen, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Sufism, Buddhism and so on, and all these perspectives about life made a huge impact on me and the way I approach writing nowadays. The time I did not write, for many years, it was the perfect time for me to incubate and crystallize all these knew knowledge, together with my own experiences in order to have my own signature in my own writings.

What draws you to poetry? What is your reason for writing poetry?

“I Write Because Nobody Listens!” I write because I feel myself, my very own essence, I can “touch” the knowing beyond the knowledge and become aware of realities within myself, a continuum exploration and self-discovery, shifting from externality towards internality and allowing myself to explore the multi-dimensionality of my own BE-ing and Existence.

I believe in the revelation and power of the WORD, as a metaphysical insight, a transcendent act, beyond the potentiality of the human condition, and this is not to be confused with individualized knowing.

For me poetry is an opportunity to reveal agapism by not trusting the fragmentation and plurality of the logical mind, to enlighten disenchanted thinking, in favor of multiplicity, indeterminacy by rejecting the limited disciplinary boundaries. My poems do not present a static wholeness but a dynamic one, in a continuous motion in this inter-connected process, a cosmological undivided wholeness in an undivided totality. The force of Love allows this interconnection to be total, moving from the “law of the individual” to the “law of the whole”, the emphasis being on the internality rather than the externality of the things. This totality continually forms and dissolves as part of the universal flux, an enfolding-unfolding consciousness, as everything is part of a single unified whole.

Tell us the inspiration behind this particular piece.

There is geometry in the humming of the strings there is music in the spacing of the spheres.” (Pythagoras), “the knowledge of which geometry aims is the knowledge of the Eternal” (Plato).

The growth patterns and flow matrices of evolution follow specific geometric forms and pathways and when we become more aware and aligned with these movements, we experience an upgrade in our ability to explore and express our fullest potential, creating Beauty and Harmony in all aspects of our lives.

“The Geometry of LOVE” is the blueprint of the Creation, the Genesis in all its forms, which depicts how various patterns create and unify all things and how the energy of Creation organizes itself in all its full beauty. From the flower petals, the air we breathe, the leaves of a tree, crystals, all of them emerged out of timeless geometric shapes and codes. Viewing and contemplating these codes allow us to gaze directly at the lines on the face of deep Wisdom and offers up a glimpse into the inner workings of the Universal Mind and the Universe itself. The Ancients knew these patterns and codes were symbols of our own inner realm and the subtle structure of awareness, the ultimate Sacred Wonder. Sacred Geometry takes on another whole level of significance when grounded in the experience of self-awareness. The blueprints of LOVE energy literally comes to life before our eyes, propelling us into ecstatic play with the very the heart of Creation.

“There is nothing fixed in her works. No pattern appears due to continuum and inherent transition. Anca perceived the mathematical pattern and structure of Life from an early age, but recognizes that although the fundamentals remain the same, there is an ever-evolving combination of patterns and possibilities. The unfinished tableau.  “Infinitesimally surrounding/ transitory planes and lanes/ within our pyramidal silences,/ giving new lines and directions,/intersections of re-constructions/compasses and conjunctures/within rebellious Mathematics” (The Geometry of Love by Anca Mihaela Bruma)

Mirrored in her poetry are the eternal tones and mathematical Truths of the Universe, the fundamentals of our beginnings. We are all intrinsically the same, yet have created barriers of disassociation, disconnection, and disunity. Anca believes that by coming together and by creatively expressing ourselves through the arts, we can become co-creators of a new world of consonance and interconnection, of peace and unity, and thus beings of elevated consciousness free from the bonds we have imposed upon ourselves, and ready to take a leap of faith into infinity with enlightened souls. This is no leap into the dark. It is in fact a transition from darkness into the light of truths and certainties from which our universe is formed and is forever forming.

“Listen within yourself and look into the infinitude of Space and Time. There can be heard the songs of the Constellations, the voices of the Numbers, and the harmonies of the Spheres.” “Close your eyes and let the mind expand. Let no fear of death or darkness arrest its course. Allow the mind to merge with Mind. Let it flow out upon the great curve of consciousness. Let it soar on the wings of the great bird of duration, up to the very Circle of Eternity” (Hermes-Trismegistus (purported writer of Corpus Hermeticum).

Anca’s poetry is universal and is a gateway between human arts and cosmological truths. Creating and creativity are born of creation itself – they are the intrinsic energies which drive us forward to a greater meaning of self and the environment of which we all form a part. The universe creates and re-creates, closes up rifts, expands and heals itself. Anca believes that finding and knowing your inner self is the key to progression, the way forward to healing yourself and expanding to help close the rifts between individuals and societies thus promoting love, understanding, and collectiveness – human values which Anca holds sacred, and which she seeks to nurture in others.” (Foreword by James Cairns – Anca’s co-editor, translator and literary advocate)
