AFTERNOON WALK

Agitated birds

swoop

in a funnel-blur

of blue color.

Garden dandelions

in oceanwater dark grass.

Parting sky

shimmers

in blueberry

stain glass.

God’s fiery face

in the miracle

of sunblessed

sky.

The dog

howls, playfully

at synergistic

shadows.

Warmth.
