Revolution’s dead! Actually, it was stillborn

Have you ever seen a junkie ignite a revolution?

Have you ever seen a junkie going on a march?

Have you ever seen a junkie produce a healthy child?

Have you ever seen a junkie daring to re-start?

We are the suckers and the junkies of the old ideas

We’ve been given “methadone” each time we feel the cringe

We are happy silly in our hallucinations

As long as they’ve been keeping refilling dreams’ syringe

We’ve been sedated dumb to keep us in the quiet

And our comfort zone is castle in the air

They pump us with “solutions” to self-inflicted problems

Through IV(d) implanted deep into our veins.

How long will we continue this vegetative existence?

When will we pull the plugs out of our brain?

When will we tear the IV(d) out of our system

And wake up to reality of total doom and drain?
