MINDFULNESS

Quieting

My thoughts

I observe

An abundant river.

The past

And future

Are persistent myths

Sinking in sand

While I eclipse

God of the orchard

Where peace and justice

Sing like birds.

My soul is a map

Hiding beneath mind.

Mind is a

Storm simulation

Of thick clouds

Emptying

On the tongues

Of angels

Whispering

Deepening green,

All,

In a single gaze.
