The Grace of an Aggravating Pen

A wonderful poem is composed

And by the grace of an aggravating pen

As

A curved smile is bloomed

On the poet’s lips

So

A word ‘sorry’ is uttered too

By his tongue.

It’s surprising but optional

As

He witnesses the oceans

Those are shriveled in depth,

The sunshine

That runs slower,

The moon and flowers

Feel hesitation to face his lady-love

And sweet songs become harsh

When she talks to him.

What to see more

In the poet-made nature?

Even the God stands second

Just behind someone earthly

Who is really loved and cared by the poet.

Up-gradation and Degradation

We wish to bow down to something divine

And long for top to bottom ablution

For admissible up-gradation

From beast to man and from man to the God-

A sacred adoration to the cardinal values

Hoping

It brightens the rays of hopes

And dignifies the difference

Between the best and the worst

Co-operating with soul

Which is consistent in searching

For a sparkle of light in the deep wood

A piece of peace on the mountain

Knowing

Heaven for the humble

Hangs somewhere else

But far away from the thirst for gold

And pains of torment.

Alas! How reasonable we are!

How we dare to stand against soul?

When it smiles at the humble up-gradation

We smile at something sparkling

And accept resourceful degradation

To open and sustain the painful feelings

In witnessing the burst of bubbles of divinity

Before they reach our hands

Keeping a bright front to our blindness

And a dark rear

Where the God is devalued

From the God to man

And from man to beast.

Bitterness and Sweetness

Pleasant weather for outing and exploring

Something sweet

For the sake of universal handshake

Yet

Instead of the presence of many alluring in hand

Surprisingly

Bitterness gets first preference

To be explored and resolved into tempting factors

Making

Reason- the ever-serious old,

To draw a sweet smile on its lips

In exploring the core of bitterness

Revolving around its diminishing orbit

Turning

The burnt eyes and tongues cool

In the evening

Though in the morning

They were disturbed and unhappy

But willing somehow

To welcome the bitterness

Without shriveling their noses

As they were already determined

To add more sweetness to the song of life

Pijush Kanti Deb, I bow to your excellence in words that spear, roar, stun, and enter a heart. RESPECT. Extraordinary writing; I have found another poet to add to my collection of those other fellow heart-touchers. Thank you.
