Satoki Nagata

Morning Walk

left behind wrappers

desecrate lonely fullerton avenue

spinning an awareness

of death.

monotonous sprinkler,

wet and momentary.

a teenage girl runs –

her eyes sparked

with bright fire.

flat clouds spin.

a short and crooked tree –

i sense an angel

behind her branches.

cracked sidewalks

are allegorical.

melancholy sun.

Meditation

closing my eyes

i admire

the rhythm of silence.

dancing with color

i visualize white birches,

feeling streaming wind

as winter flies away.

i dance in

God concentric

sun.

A deeply felt experiential lyric. Enjoyable and meaningful.
