Trump: Is the King in the Altogether?

Many will recall the song ‘The King is in the Altogether‘ and the funny story with a clever ‘get-out clause’ therein. Perhaps purely because of its cleverness and parody on reactions by humanity relating to tricky situations is the very reason for its popularity.

That said, it suddenly becomes rather worrying when it can be said by some to apply to President Trump, the very man who is trying to sort out issues of the Middle East, Korea, and Ukraine.

It already feels as if President Trump has been in Office for years rather than weeks.

Now even the Bookies have halved odds regarding whether Trump can stay the course of his first term in Office. Others feel he will be impeached far sooner.

As I have previously mentioned, JR Ewing from TV Series Dallas used to quote about Cliff Barnes (his adversary) on occasions when he beat JR to a deal, (“well even a blind dog can find the odd bone”).

A similar remark has been made by some commentators in that despite President Trump’s lack of political knowledge and related diplomacy, he is right, they say, in trying to be more friendly with Putin, as President Nixon was with China. Even the two personalities are being compared in that both Presidents had tendencies to erupt – Nixon within doors and Trump anywhere he wants!

With the ongoing security-related crisis and ‘who knew what when’, it is quite surprising, yet not diplomatically unexpected, that all possible proofs are not being volunteered at this time. Either President Trump is indeed learning the craft of his new role fast or is avoiding a watershed moment which could have the power to water-chute him out to sea.

He has, of course, not endeared himself to every facet of either the American or World population as we know, so this is a moment his rivals will seize upon and pursue relentlessly.

What with President Trump facing matters re Putin on one side, then his own White House confidants and various Secret Service people leaking to the media, is it any wonder that paranoia real or imagined Trump may have about them all, as well as any inferred mental ‘guest appearances’ by the loser of the recent US Political Election in the guise of Hillary Clinton, through references made that she is still considered by President Trump to be the Wicked Witch – one many think the US is currently running on autopilot, though given Harrison Ford’s example of flying recently, that might not be a bad thing.

The Bookies usually have a nose for any intriguing political crisis and back in 1974 when President Nixon confirmed knowledge of Watergate, that sealed his fate. Just one sentence will do it.

Mr Trump has to watch every word he says.

It would help if someone closed down his twitter account. Diplomatic youngsters should not play with fireworks.
