more damn buttons than a spaceship

another restless night

spent trying to teach

the covers who’s the

boss

the morning shit

clogs the toilet on

the courtesy flush

damn sausage and

beer

you’d love to make

some coffee but the

coffeemaker has more

damn buttons than

a spaceship

toast it is

time to go try to start

a vehicle made in the

last century and go

to work

you grab your neon

vest and a trash bag

they don’t pay for

aluminum like they

used to

frogs

it’s the type of

storm where i

wouldn’t be

surprised if i

looked outside

and i’d see

frogs

arthritis raging

it’s time to go

to bed with an

old bottle of

wine

my family is

afraid i’m going

to kill myself

one day

i’ve told them

to embrace their

fears
