Wax Doomsday Philosophic

Pardon me as I clear

my throat and say a kind

rose word upon the ash heap.

Twas a beautiful life

with two blinking eyes til

the button was pushed.

Should have written that

volume and kissed that girl

in 11th grade.

Should have paused more

sweetly to contemplate

honey bees.

Let’s all gather at the tree

that bends and say a final

word of goodbyes

Twas a nice life

til twasn’t.
