“Terror is feared …” was the New York Times headline for the recent lone shooter killing spree in Paris. That incident will surely mean continuing martial law in France. ISIS claimed responsibility.

A few days earlier, ISIS claimed responsibility for a bomb attack against UEFA Champion’s league quarterfinalist, Borussia Dortmund. That claim has since been debunked as detailed in this LA Times article.

Our cowardice and over reaction to every incident in the news is destroying our freedom. Even nonviolent crimes like identity theft create terror. But Terrorism has come to mean something much larger. That meaning has been encouraged by our governments to provide them with previously illegal phone taps and searches so they can protect their political careers rather than protect our freedoms and way of life.

I have built satellites, worked in the operating room, been in a cult, …

I earn my living as part of a group which is trying to understand and treat head injury.

In my poetry and short blog pieces, I want to express ideas with unambiguous clarity and intensity.

I willingly sacrifice rhyme and meter, art, cleverness, elegance, and beauty for these.
