Why can’t Parties accept the Brexit Referendum vote?

Tears before bedtime is putting it mildly.

Now we are in a situation within the UK where we see Jeremy Corbyn sacking three front benchers for disobeying the Party vote regarding the Single Market, and on the Government side, two key Ministers have different openly expressed different stances regarding Brexit.

Whilst everyone tinkers with what was a democratic collective UK Brexit Referendum vote, it continues to undermine our progress regarding negotiations exiting the EU. Then again, for those who wish to overturn a democratic vote, that is their aim.

We have never in my lifetime calculated geographical votes, thereby post democratic Referendum and/or General Elections, declare that one County, Town or Constituent UK Country, suddenly declares individual independence in the style of the movie ‘Passport to Pimlico’.

Those who ridiculously made the claim that Brexiteers did not know what they were voting for in the initial Referendum, yet suddenly in the General Election everyone instantly declares what the results inferred without doubt, insults the intelligence of the electorate and underestimates a backlash which has not, as yet, expressed itself.

In 1972 and 1975 those who did not vote to join Europe, but lost the vote, just accepted democracy and got on with their lives.

We have a Rock Star Labour Leader whose Party voted Trident through Parliament yet privately brags that when he is in power he will scrap it.

Mrs May has, as we know, made errors of her own also, and other Parties have displayed vicious approaches negating what should be the purity of their own Party ethos.

Tactical voting prostitutes any belief structure and discredits all.

So what will happen next?

From what I hear, either Brexit will be ‘talked away’ because people do not believe in the worth of Great Britain as its own Country with the support of a huge Commonwealth Family of Nations, Headed by HM The Queen; in which case democracy is dead in the UK, or a fudge position will result in that the UK will remain a Member of Europe, albeit a rose by another name.

The political fall out will be that some will never vote again because at the end of the day, mob rule will prevail, and/or there will be anarchy and riots will emerge.

So when politicians play their political games in Parliament to safeguard interests of business greed tied to Europe, they may be directly responsible for the inevitable failure of law and order when we learn the final outcome of Brexit negotiations.

A divided Country is not only very sad but most dangerous.

The irony is, that once Britain actually leaves Europe, we may soon find our wealth and standing in the world could surpass what exists presently.

Any Nation in history which has ignored the will of the people’s winning democratic vote, has ultimately paid the price for same.

Hello Hazel At last someone putting into words the scenarios I am sure will be played out if our elected representatives have stopped accepting the result of a democratic vote. The belief that earning lots of money and having large amounts of social media followers allows your voice to be heard above others and that it automatically bestows wisdom and an ability to control future events without being part of any political process is frightening.
