Egotist

About nights I don’t promise

But days I tell, I did pass

Off thinking on you; isn’t this

Enough, in memory yours surpass?

Sat lonely in melancholy mood

That, impart feelings cannot I

How burnt inside my manhood

But emotions I did never let die.

Memories sweet are friends in time

As you are in the world alone

And songs all you can chime

But in your melancholy tone.

Life mine too shall deserve peace

Tell my sleeps, how can I waste?

Neither emotions mine to appease

I lost several nights in your quest.
