The Great Narcissist Lives

(but his life force is diminishing)

“I will be unbeatable in 2020.” Trump said at the end of 2017.

What is wrong with the great narcissist?

Doesn’t he see the writing on the wall?

Doesn’t he feel the pounding on his golden door by Mueller,

and the clamor of millions of Americans shouting, “It’s time to move on to jail, liar.

You and your ilk do not have any time left to screw America anymore.”

You, Trump, show the height of arrogance of a pampered, cuddled child

who was never taught the manners and humility of street children.

When you show fake positiveness as the truth hits you in the face

crumbling everything around you, you show the ignorance of an uncivilized dolt.

Soon you and your family of corrupted people will be a family of jailbirds,

assuming the judiciary is responsible and does the job they were chosen.

You, justices, were entrusted to do justice regardless of the person’s wealth and position.

You may try to hide like Saddam Hussein did, but you are a loser, Trump,

and can’t hide anymore, anywhere. The whole world looks upon you with disdain.

The American people now know all about your misdeeds of making money off the presidency (a crime) and cowering before Putin (our ‘enemy’). Shameful.

In case you forgot, you were representing the United States of America,

not the United States of Trump. It never was and never will be.

The United States citizenry knows and remembers

what you have done to our country and is pissed.

The bell of righteousness tolls loudly, Donald Trump,

The bell of guilt tolls for thee.

Integrity Is Coming To America, Soon

Once the dream was to make America the shining light of the world

America has become the fallen, the ugly, the distrusted.

Living with a neophyte politician with destructive ambitions of a 3-year old,

the transmutation has proven to be very difficult in deed.

Respite is months away or maybe four or eight years away,

or maybe never.

We alone have to remove the stench and pain inflicted on us

defecated by shills with only a white conscience and dark motives,

hell bent on annihilating the working family

and intent on destroying the fair and just America we all strive to have.

We are the hope of the world.

The lies they peddle will not prevail or stand unchallenged.

We are being devoured by the forces of manipulation indifference,

bigotry and the all mighty, self-consuming profit motive?

This seems to be what we have become, but are we?

Will Democracy, Truth and Justice return to America?

How ’bout just plain old integrity

to make America truly great again.

Truly inclusively great again.

Nature’s Love

The brook follows the path of least resistance

It does not confront obstacles

It embraces them

Nature knows not war

The landscape is tranquil, peaceful

Nature likes it that way

Rolling shades of green sprinkle the velvet hills with

A myriad display of colorful flowers

Flaunting the multi-hues of the rainbow

The eye follows the brook’s unimpeded meandering path

A Monarch jig-jaggedly flies in glee

Its life will shortly come to an end but

That’s Nature’s way too

A dark brown and brittle dry leaf

Detached by a tender wind floats

Softly landing on a fallen twig

It remembers where it came from

Clear water caresses the rocks underneath,

Whispering sweet, gurgling, purling sounds

Its watery arms embracing the smooth stones

As it fills the cracks between them

This is Nature making love with passion

Subtleties which go unnoticed to the human eye

Are nevertheless relevant in their spirit

As life unfolds its evolution.

When we make love. who sees us?

Sometimes we don’t even see each other

We often forget that love is tender, giving,

Nurturing, healing and compassionate

Nature knows this –

We should too.

The lyrics are contemporary and very very true if one considers what the poet thinks of...perhaps a search for an ideal situation in life is just an illusion, a poetic hope that recedes beyond hold. Perhaps, poet's current anxieties disturb him as anyone who is ethical in approach towards life and time. Good Read. Congrats Mr Editor and the poet.
