The Wrong Apostle

Don’t follow demands

made in bold statements

Criticize the promises

that you know won’t arrive

Stand and insist on

outcomes that aren’t given

Fear the wrong apostle

he brings nothing for you

L’Enfant Terrible

A child squeals with joy

Running down the aisles

A toy gun in his hand

Killing all the bad guys

The child emperor

Taunts his playmates

To whom he lied

Hiding in the media maze

Hammer mouth unbridled

Unconstrained by embarrassment

Throwing words against a wall

To see if they’ll stick

Nature’s Dying Gasp

The trees weep acid baking in the sun

Species turn to ghosts lost to time

Ancient ice crumbles into the sea

Forward never back to save the world

Design, innovate, extend, accelerate

Ever faster towards extinction

The greedy feed before the masses

Monsters pushing through the crowd

Their mouths slick with blood

Faceless puppets until a stand

Blind, deaf and dumb

The Guillotine is dusty
