Americans

We are animal-angels

and these days our government

seems like a vampire

bathed in the darkness of night.

Happiness and grief are dependent

on electronic toys.

The notebook of our consciousness

sometimes seems empty –

waiting to be filled with love.

Spiritually we are Western pigeons

flying towards an Eastern garden home.

But with love the notebook is filling

and the sky’s future

is a sunny bright blue.

Halfwit Coffee House: Logan Square Chicago

Light fills my soul

With mystical chords

Of silvery-blue love.

I feel growing peace

Fill my aura and bathe

The coffee house

And it’s patrons

With soothing, silent

Caressing compassion.

I connect through

The softly playing Indie-rock

Music to Oscillating planets

And spiritual Godly energy.

As above, so below.
