Memories

Like a ray of sunshine

In the darkest of hours,

Recollections strike me

Some sweet some sour.

Echoes of the past

So strong and loud,

Covering me

In a mesmerising cloud.

Memories are like winds of time

Making us travel to the past,

Everything seems lush and green

Wish it could forever last.

Some sorrowful some cheerful

Giving life a perfect blend,

To relive those sweet times

A million dollars would I spend.

An integral part of life

Offering hopes to live on,

Times that we hold so dear

Reminiscing them, we have grown.

This present will become a memory too

This is how life goes on,

Make some valuable and worthy ones

To hold close and cherish upon.
