President Trump

Has declared Russia

To be a competitor

Framing the relationship

In business terms

While overlooking

The socio-cultural aspects

Of world power…

Just a business competitor

Not a geo-political foe

Or a military enemy

But simply,

And innocently

A competitor

Forgetting altogether

How President Putin

Has ways

Of making competitors

Disappear.
