The Faithful Accepting Base

All I did was vote

How did I know he would break America in half?

He was me, looked like me and said things I liked

He spoke of opportunities for me for once

He had been a TV show host and owned Miss America

What more credentials do you need to be president?

And he was a businessman to boot,

Even though he went bankrupt four, six or eight times.

I thought he was greatly qualified

and he had a nice family

who all worked in their daddy’s bitness (business)

All making damn good money

Yeah, I know, they said he kept paychecks from his employees

Some said he stole their pay and kept it in his bank account

but they sued him and won gads of money,

that’s OK he still had a lot of money left

He’s doing all he can for us

And they’re trying to shut him down

But he’s a fighter he won’t give up

he’s a chameleon, a snake, he’ll slither out of anything they throw at him

He said he was a billionaire I believe him

I also believe in the wall to keep the immigrants to the south out

They don’t belong here

Norwegians, the Dutch and the British do

He gave us a hefty tax break

of course it doesn’t apply to me, I didn’t qualify

but my boss got a quarter of a million dollars,

and said he would give us a pay raise as soon as bitness picks up

The president is doing away with all these stupid policies that hold bitness down

He said it’s the Democrats’ fault they put them in place

They’re creating the problems not him, he’s taking care of them

I believe that

Yeah, the Democrats are ganging up on him

Mueller’s got nothing on him but he insists on going forward

Enough is enough let the man breathe!

Nothing but a witch-hunt, no collusion!

Of course there are those who were in his administration

who are in jail, fixing to go to jail, or who will go to jail

and the Russians are still to be tried

but they don’t have anything on the boss of bosses

He’s Teflon Man, the Capo il Capo now that Gotti is gone

Pretty soon there might be a couple of hits

To rub out the irritant prosecutor and the traitor Attorney General

and anybody else that goes against this president’s ego

“Let’s wait for the mid-terms” the boss says, his yellow thin hair waving in the breeze,

“I’ll show the world, my minions will show up to vote for me.

If the Republican Party rigs ‘em or not I’ll rely on my Russian friends

I’ll win and still be in charge bigger and better than ever.”

Don’t blame me I like him, says the right things to me

I voted for him and I will again even if he’s in prison for being indicted on corruption,

money laundering, collusion, doing personal business as president and crap like that

I don’t care, he’s my man.

See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil

Beauty is in the complete silence of the moon

The air is free of pollution and the land free of garbage

At least that was the way it was before we got there

then we landed and the rest is history; we left trash – on the moon

The beauty of the barren seas of Mars leads us to wonder

As earth’s splendor erodes due to our selfishness, filling our seas with putrid refuse

once pristine lands now hiding under concrete

with communities enclosed behind concrete walls

This is the modern world we have forged

But modernity’s face is but a farce of fake golden glitter

Society’s mind is besieged by the barrage of advertising deals,

blinding the eyes as the snake devours its own tail

The people are persuaded that greed is good and lust is healthy

A powerful combination aimed at annihilating civilization

Are we not too smart to be deceived

or are we too dumb to know we are being had

Will we stop this chaos we have created and continue progressing forward?

Or slip off the embankment of life

down to the porcelain commode of the universe, sliding down, down, down

to the void never to be heard from again

As a species we suck about not caring or giving any thought

to the needy, the elderly or the poor

threatening to take away their Social Security and health insurance

on the evil whim of a racist

He is supported by people who have no conscience

Whose loudest yells come from hate-filled rightwing groups

now abetted by the president of our nation and his congressional minions

Where is the courage and conviction needed to confront the problems of the country?

The Leader plays golf every weekend at his private resort

spending our country’s treasure on his personal business

guiding his shills who believe his edicts

and then create murder and mayhem in his name with impunity

These are the brown shirts of another era that did not end well for the world

Be not so complacent all of you who support this madness

To those of you who don’t get it; beware, it always gets worse before it gets better,

You may soon see the onset of a dastardly war that won’t spare you or your family.
