Kava-Knee

Twenty minutes

Into the hearing,

Brett Kavanaugh was crying,

Angry and emotional

Letting his pompous temperament

Reveal its true self,

But he has forgotten –

If the outcome of confirmation

Doesn’t confirm him,

And he thinks

The Judiciary Committee

Has violated social justice,

He, too,

Will have the NFL

Taking a knee for him

On Sunday.

Author of the books, Buddha Bastinado Blues and The Kill Gene, Ben White thought he was a poet, only to find out he is not a poet at all. He is a witness. What he writes is testimony.
