Parade of Fools

white Jesus changed

his last name to Trump

and there was a parade

in his honor with floats

full of rapists and racists

it was a tax-free event too

since it was a Christian

religious family festival

crosses with little orange

lord and saviors holding

rebel flags and Rohypnol

party-favors thrown in

place of beads and doubloons

and Donald duck was the

king of the carnival mascot

carried down the street

in a palanquin by people

dressed as Kanye West

in MAGA hats and chains

of gold around their wrists

and ankles like leashes

as a marching band of clowns

played the national anthem

over and over behind the

shit show and no matter how

hard the bootlicker patriotic

Muricans tried they kept

forgetting the words to

their glorious war song

and none of the ones sitting

in their plastic folding

chairs stood for the cause

because they believed in

freedom and some of them

fought for that right to

sit in those chairs and

enjoy the parade in their

wife-beater tank-tops and

cargo shorts with their

beer in MAGA koozies and

their children scurrying

around collecting memorabilia

of the glorious event to

take home and hang on the

wall with pride and spike

their drinks so they can

sleep at night ignoring all

of the horrible realities and

that people are different and

have different beliefs and

values and love lives and

they hate the fact that not

everyone is as dumbed down as

they are in their Chinese

sweat-shop sheep-suits and

white sheet costume disguises
