Small but significant steps

Despite adverse conditions

In hostile situations,

Courageously, with firm convictions,

Muslims, LGBT or Native Americans

Fought the midterm election

And a mark receiving people’s adulation…

Struggle has just begun…

There is a lot yet to be done

To thwart racist fascist advances

Check imperialist capitalist trends

Though still in the establishment

The steps look small but significant

The need is to change the plutocracy

And move towards real democracy

The Fall begins

Trump receives a jolt

Results fall on him like a thunderbolt

Fear starts gripping his thoughts

With the rise of Democrats.

Anti-people’s policies might be confined to dustbins

As, slowly but surely, his imminent Fall begins

With many obstacles from opposition to face,

Unprecedented and unexpected problems might surface
