Apologue

[Cuba cuts gay marriage reference from Constitution]

Since there’s the scarcity

Of timbre to it – what

Is it that’s

Been fleeced

From me…?

Separate tables!

A bogus

Wine waiter – and

The tuning-fork

Of a sub-let

Indefinable

Symphonic score.

Be quick!

Either way

The minions play

While Brahms,

In the wings,

Has grown horns.

Scope

[Japan to ‘resume commercial hunting’]

Late in the day

And slightly

Arched over

My shoulder

Suggests

That if I am

Of ‘whale’ descent

Then words

Are

Bloodied water.
