RMDs

We’ve seen it before –

Mobilized by lies for war

And having to make up facts

To deploy the troops

Rolling out concertina wire

When every lie needs a liar

And there is another caravan

Coming up

To kill America’s addicts,

To sell young girls to old white men,

And to fund their gang activities

Of Spanish-speaking evils

Intent on spreading poverty

On the American Dream

While Constitutional principles scream,

But no-one listens

In the atmosphere

Of suspicion

And fear

Where ignorance practices

Its sweet and secret seduction –

This time against

Refugees

Of Mass Destruction.

Author of the books, Buddha Bastinado Blues and The Kill Gene, Ben White thought he was a poet, only to find out he is not a poet at all. He is a witness. What he writes is testimony.
