A Yellow Ribbon Reminder

The bone spur specialists

Were paid for their service in 1968;

President Carter pardoned

The American-Canadians in 1977;

The Hippies sold out

For mutual funds in the Reagan ‘80s;

President Clinton solidified

Terrorist ideologies in ’93 and ’98;

And thank you for your service perspectives

Started with President Bush’s wars in 2003;

And they continue today

As times have changed

With new-found respect and admiration

For Veterans

Even Vietnam Veterans,

So Kellyanne needs to tell the President,

Stop spitting on John McCain.

Author of the books, Buddha Bastinado Blues and The Kill Gene, Ben White thought he was a poet, only to find out he is not a poet at all. He is a witness. What he writes is testimony.
