Mfundo Ntobongwana. Poet. Writer. Musician. Stage name ‘G.O.’ Born in Cape Town, raised in Durban by his lovely Grandmother who laid a Pen in my hand when he was 6 years old. He wrote his first 2 page short story when he was 7 and a half, and hasn’t looked back since. He’s also the Son of two Teachers. Published in I.AM Magazine, and IMBO Online Magazine Have appeared on the HecticNine9 show on SABC 2, Cape Town Television(Ctv), Bush Radio. Vibe Radio SA. UCT Radio. Performed for The City of Cape Town Heritage Day Events for The Department of Arts and Culture. Part of an Organisation called Lyrical Base Project which develops and facilitates Writing skills in previously disenfranchised Communities. Artist for an entity of Artists called NativeRefugee. He coaches a wonderful bunch of young Writers called Vocal Revolutionaries, in the Art of Slam Poetry. They will be travelling to Chicago, America next year to compete in the Annual Brave New Voices Slam Poetry Competition. He performs at venues such as ‘A Touch of Madness’ in Observatory. ‘Tagore’s’ in Observatory. ‘Zevoli’s’ in Rondebosch. ‘Zula Sound Bar’ Long Street, Cape Town. ‘Baghdad’ Long Street, Cape Town. ‘Ragazzi Sound Bar’ Loop Street, Cape Town.
