After a career as a graphic designer at a design and advertising firm Dutch photographer Michel de Groot studied at the Amsterdam Academy of Photography.

His work has appeared in various publications such as The New York Times, Le Figaro, Le Monde, Liberation, Paris Match, Newsweek and National Geographic Magazine.

Besides editorial and corporate assignments Michel focusses on social and cultural issues. Right now he’s working on a long term project on Witchcraft. His work can be viewed at www.micheldegroot.com
