Daniele Mattioli
Born in Umbria, Italy he started photography in Toronto , Canada and from 1992 in Vienna, travelling regularly to the East therafter, based for in Sydney, Australia for five years also. From 2000 he started to work focusing in China, more precisely Shanghai. After many assignments and features, he soon decided to relocate there.
He has been represented by the Anzenberger Agency since 1992, a portfolio of his work on Shanghai published in 2001, the reportage on Chongqing featured in the Book ‘East’ in 2008, photos from Shanghai included in the books ‘Inside China’ produced by the National Geographic and ‘Shanghai: a History in Photographs, 1842 – Today’ published by Penguin
He is currently based in Shanghai but working in many locations in Asia, mainly under assignment to editorial, corporate and portrait projects.
