I Am Not Conquered

I do not live with guilt

for the sins

of my fathers

or your fathers

or the church

or the state

or any type

of politically correct system

that is trying

to overthrow

basic human commonsense

I am sworn as an enemy

unto every move made

by the servants

of divide-and-conquer

social engineering tacticians

who use sleek

Madison Avenue

Edward Bernays’

advertising gimmicks

to trigger neuron reflexes

in the unaware

comatose

dead asleep zombies

I am a sworn enemy

unto the masses of sheep

whose apathy and ignorance

helps to bring about

the goals set out

by the marketing madmen

who are herding the species

toward a collective

hive mind singularity

On Knowing When to Stop

If anything in life

ever went like it was meant to

the entire world

might fall apart at the seams

because it is chaos orchestrating order

behind the scenes

so it is not about being perfect,

it is just about being

really, really, really, really good

it is about

coming as close to perfect as possible

without going too far

and screwing it all up
