In our local lingo there is a proverb or saying that ‘the axe is not cutting the tree, but the piece of wood, part of the tree itself, that is responsible for downing the tree’. Looking to this proverb, if we were to analyse the war of statements between the superpowers, we can conclude that it is not ISIS but our own countries that are responsible for all we are currently facing.
The souring and repulsive statement is being issued from both sides of the superpowers, Russia and America.
However Russia seems very firm following its venture of interference in Syria. President Putin constantly threatens that he knows a lot of details of who is exploiting the oil resources of the ISIS controlled area and which countries are funding ISIS to continue the brutality.
Russian president Putin has also provided examples based on Russian collected data on the financing of different units of ISIS by the different individuals in the meeting, stated in his press conference on the last day of the G20 meetings held in Antalya, Turkey two days after the Paris attack which has gripped the whole world in the fear that it may be a step towards World War III.
In the same press conference the Russian president also claimed that said money comes from 40 countries and some of them were even sitting in the G20 meetings. This was very shocking news, with one of the presidents providing evidence in the conference as to who are supporting ISIS, the group who have created a new meaning of viciousness in modern history. They have changed the meaning of the word ‘cruelty’; they are beheading men, women, raping little girls, enslaving them and then selling and burning the victims alive.
However it cannot be just speculation or blame when you are providing evidence before the world’s richest country and most responsible presidents or other representative of countries as to who is behind ISIS. The Russian President has also demanded an urgent need to curb the illegal oil trade with ISIS. The petro dollars is definitely the biggest source and playing exactly the same role to what blood is in terms of importance to the human body.
Through this money ISIS not only survive and flourish in the Middle East but they are able to hire ‘human power’ and extend their dogma in Muslim countries as well as the European Muslim communities. For this Putin has shown the pictures which were taken from space, in which it clearly shows that motorcades were covering dozens of kilometres for refueling oil and receiving millions of dollars in return.
But the question is ‘who are they’? Putin must definitely have read out their names in the meeting as to who is purchasing oil with the aforementioned motorcades.
The millions of dollars in question might be involved in day to day business with ISIS and that money is being used for the killing of human beings. It would be an extremely insane idea if one could assume that the US, the Patron-in-Chief of ISIS, Saudi Arabia or the European countries know nothing about it. Is this the modern world where we are being killed in the way of the Dark Ages for just a few countries’ vested interests?
Why has the world effectively had their mouths sealed by not being a voice against the barbaric beheading of people living under ISIS controlled areas? Why have the US refused Russia’s invitation to fight against ISIS? Putin informed the press that the US refused with a written note stating that “we reject your offer.’’
Not only this, but it is believed the US know who are supplying weapons to the terrorists, in which the important names being reported are Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey covertly as the main suppliers to them.
Besides, the US assistant secretary for Near Eastern Affairs, Anne Patterson, during the congressional testimony most recently, has accepted that the Al-Nusra Front, an Al Qaida affiliated terrorist organisation of Syria, was designated by the US as a ‘moderate opposition’ and provided the weapons to this organisation.
Former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director David Petraeus, recommended using them in the fight to topple Syrian President Bashar Assad. “Petraeus did suggest using Al-Nusra to fight ISIS,” University of Oklahoma Professor Joshua Landis claimed.
Above all most recently, US State Department spokesperson John Kirby has accepted that they were involved in the provision of weapons to terrorists to fight against the Syrian President’s army and said that the United States is deeply concerned about members of Syria’s moderate opposition being attracted by the Islamic State ideology.
This shows nothing but an involvement of the US either through Saudi Arabia or Turkey and other oil rich Arab Countries in supporting ISIS, still claiming shamelessly that they will not let ISIS kill the people of the Middle East vis-à-vis the Europeans.
This is nothing but a drama and fake claims that have been repeated over a long period of time. As the University of Edinburgh lecturer in Contemporary Islam, Thomas Pierret, said that the United States is still operating within a proxy-war pattern in Syria whereas Russia has moved toward direct confrontation, which will inevitably elicit a response from the United States.
Therefore we are not being killed by ISIS in a sense but by the people who were being considered to protect this world from these most evil of terrorist groups.
