Mrs May has obviously been deferring the filing of Article 50 in consideration of allowing the EU anniversary celebrations to take place first.
Following last week’s attack in London, various countries have expressed solidarity with Britain at this time in the fight against terrorism.
Regarding Brexit itself, everything has its time, and considering the wording of a new block statement the remaining EU Countries have been asked to sign, then I am glad Mrs May was neither present (out of respect as the UK was leaving Europe), nor a signatory to such a document which ties all the Countries of the EU to act as one, inevitably going forward to having one Leader and an Army one day no doubt, (according to comments over past years) – what individual sovereignty then.
As Mrs May has already said, Britain is leaving the EU but geographically, and in respect of shared security issues and a host of other aspects, it still remains as part of Europe.
Everyone, whether they voted Leave or Remain, now wants matters to be expedited and that they will be.
The whole Country now needs to get behind Mrs May and give her the opportunity (whether she secures a good deal with the EU or informs us of a hard Brexit), to initiate a good future for us all, securing new global deals with Commonwealth Countries, America, European Countries where possible et al
We have to believe in ourselves if we want others to believe in us.
