Behind a public facade of harmony senior Mossad or Israeli Intelligence Officers were dumbfounded and annoyed by the high-level US political leak of sensitive classified allied data.
At the May 10, 2017 Oval Office meeting its host informed the Russian Foreign Minister and Ambassador to America of Israel’s successful Islamic State terror organization cyber penetration. The top White House politician elaborated regarding Israel’s discovery of IS’ new plans to blow up planes with bombs undetectable by airport security.
He divulged classified information relating to knowledge of advances in IS’ bomb making craft and the extremist organization’s ability to mask an explosive device inside laptop computers. The Oval Office boss revealed the city where the potential IS plane plot was to be staged. A few months prior Israeli hackers were able to electronically breach a small Syria based IS bomb-maker cell. Intelligence gleaned was detailed enough for the bomb’s detonation method to be understood.
Such revelations were the catalyst of America’s March 21, 2017 ban of laptops and electronic devices larger than a mobile phone on direct flights from ten airports in Turkey, the Middle East and North Africa. Mirroring this US travel restriction Britain announced a similar prohibition for commercial flights originating from six identified countries. Russia and Iran, aka one of Israel’s top adversaries, share an intimate relationship. Israel’s Mossad is cued in to Russia’s cyberwarfare capabilities.
The Kremlin’s military cooperation with Iran and common allegiance to Syria is under watch. Simultaneously, Israel’s political bureaucrats push for official Jewish state designation to solidify marginalization of Palestine, base of the second largest terrorist army in Gaza. The Palestine Islamic Jihad (PIJ) receives military and financial sponsorship from Iran. Since the May 2017 US Oval Office intelligence release to the Russians, PIJ broadcasted a videoed threat to end its three year truce with Israel.
The PIJ airing shows camouflaged gunmen practicing “field craft” and moving through tunnels. Some characters surveil southeastern Israel near the Gaza border, scenes of a rocket factory commingled. An episode of the video depicts a senior Israeli Defence Force (IDF) officer in a sniper’s rifle crosshairs as a bullet is selected. A secret February 2016 four-way meeting in Jordanian port city Aqaba was conceptualized to help promote Israel’s aim of a Jewish state.
Egypt’s President, the Israeli Prime Minister, US Secretary of State and the King of Jordan attended to collaborate. In April 2016 the Israeli PM and Egypt’s President met again in Cairo galvanizing the plan. Potency of the May 2017 White House intelligence leak can cause damage to Israel’s intelligence apparatus, corrupt “the information source” and hinder US security missions overseas. The American sponsored and equipped operation, supporting allied Syrian Kurdish and Arab forces to recapture Raqqa from IS fighters, is jeopardized if Iran was informed.
