The Unhinged Left

It’s dark outside, but not dark enough.

The light seeps, the fear is electric.

Who prowls the gun shops? A lefty,

A Bolshevik, a Californian, a hippie

Driving a rusty van. Socialism is a sword

Seeking to sever the invisible hand.

A door swinging beyond the threshold,

Endangering our guarded existence.
