For the bright future of orphans in Pakistan the contribution of NGO the Al-Khidmat Foundation is appreciated. The Turkish ambassador to Pakistan expressed his views on the eve of the Iftar dinner organized by the aforementioned foundation and TIKA (Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency) in Islamabad. While speaking during the event the President of the Al-Khidmat Foundation said that from all over Pakistan thousands of orphans are living under the umbrella of this organization. Around 800 children were present during the event.
Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Mustafa Yurdakul, TIKA President Kamil Kolabas, Country Head of TIKA Mehmet Emre Aktuna and Chairman Mr. Abdus Shakoor all attended the ceremony. Other prominent personalities from government, civil society and media were also present.
While addressing the Iftar dinner the ambassador praised the efforts of the Al-Khidmat foundation and said that Pakistan and Turkey are the two brotherly Muslim nations. Mr. Yurdakul stated that to take care of orphans and children is not only a religious but also state, social and moral duty and expressed satisfaction regarding the increase in Pakistan-Turkish relationships. The Pak-Turk friendship is long lasting. He said that we will always be there for Pakistan during critical times and will support Pakistan to boost its economy. He also expressed his gratitude towards people of Pakistan.
While addressing the event the President of the Al-Khidmat Foundation, Adbul Shakoor, thanked Mr Kamil Gull Abbas, advisor to the Turkish Prime Minister along with the Ambassador and other guests. Lastly, Mr. Shakoor said, “Turkey has always supported Pakistan’s stance on the issue of Kashmir and we are grateful to our Turkish brothers for it.”
At the end of the Iftar dinner souvenirs and traditional attires of Pakistan were presented to the chief guest and other noticeable personalities.
The Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan is one of the leading non-profit and independent organizations, fully dedicated to humanitarian services. Al-Khidmat workers and volunteers continue to work tirelessly for the relief of affected people across Pakistan and worldwide. The services include Disaster Management, Health Services, Education, Orphan Care, Clean Water, Mawakhat (interest free loan) and other social services.
