Protect the Ribs

Though there is some question

About who sent him

And why,

Senator Rand Paul

Has gone to Russia

Emphasizing the “importance

Of further engagement,”

And with his sense

Of self-importance,

The junior Senator

From Kentucky added,

“Diplomacy is very important.”

However,

It may not have been

The best political choice

To send a person

Who was beaten up

By his neighbor

For mowing his dead grass

And blowing autumn leaves

All over the gated community

On a November day

In Bowling Green

To act as

A diplomat

Representing the U.S.

In a country led

By a global

Neighborhood thug.
