Hunger

When they rescued us mama told me

There will be food, shelter and water for us.

I too believed freedom has come.

Finally there will be a new life,

Enough water and food to quench our thirst, satiate our hunger.

But I was wrong, they are hungry too.

Once they came with big guns, forced us to marry them,

Now they come in uniforms to deal with us

Let me be your boyfriend, let us satisfy our hunger.
