A successful battle?

(After a prolonged battle, Asia Bibi is acquitted by the court of Pakistan for the role in blasphemy)

Thoughts cannot be executed

Opinions cannot be hanged

Ideas cannot be eradicated

Expressions cannot be annihilated

Every coin has two sides

Arguments have counter- arguments

As long as there are believers,

There are also non-believers…

To love is a difficult art

It is easy to hate

Citing the reason of blasphemy,

Anyone can take revenge on an enemy…

Kudos for the brave woman

Who stood tall as a defiant human

Struggled for elusive justice

Against a conservative society of vice…

There are still insurmountable obstacles

Surrounding like huge mountains

But after a long dark life-span,

A small window of freedom is open.

World Citizens

(Trump’s plan to end citizenship for some babies in violation of the 14th amendment  of US Constitution)

Have you ever seen

The innocent smiling children…?

What have they done

To ridicule and scorn?

Your weird pseudo-nationalism

Is robbing the country of humanism…

To cover up your failures

And backfiring your policies

You are planning some sensation

To divert immediate attention…

Look at those toothless tiny tots

Giggling at your vicious thoughts…

You may deny them their constitutional rights

They are not just Americans but the world’s proud citizens.
