Beating round the Bush

Sorry! Virtues are very few

A warmongering sinew

Set forth Iraqi invasion

Causing death and destruction

Dreams of unrivalled domination

Realised with USSR demolition

Sowed the seeds of neo-colonialism

With the assistance of totalitarianism

Protecting the interests of rich

Condemning poor without a hitch

He left a trail of war – ravaged victims’ blood

Spilled over Asian and African mud

Capitalism received a big push

No beating round the Bush

Wealthy enjoyed happy regime

Lived in ecstasy and confidence sublime

Many may mourn and express condolence

And praise your activity without indolence

Still a lot of others would think

There’s little to remember and thank

Pipeline of patriarchy

The rush for oil

Spoils the soil

Of indigenous native land

Where women stand hand in hand

Fighting male patriarchy

And brutal atrocity

The activists with nerves of steel

March forward with ‘Green New Deal’

To protect the land, air water

For a future life better

Despite scores of women kidnapped

And number of them murdered

Their indomitable courage

Will not wilt at any stage
