Maami (My Mother)
Alamu;
take a tour to the land of past,
to have a confrence meeting with her cos of maami.
Ask why she flogged her into flaky flapping, caged her eye with tears, transformed her into a watching dog, caused her to fetch woods for her younger ones all in the name of investing on us?
Days of playing with death
on foam at a darkened hour
encompassed with droplets of rain
yet stood out in happy tears.
Wandering in the land of my darkened heart all i see her flashes of light held to lighten my glory from failing glitt my heart with joy.
I will talk to the fleeing sun at dawn
wine with the coming moon at fall
to sharpen the edge of their swords
to fight through the future.
Awele,
tell it to your skull
let it spill into your brain
never let a day pass away
without the impulse of a mother
and sacrifice made for you.
I will sit back here
beside this growing tree
till i see her walk in raiment of queens and named blessed.
Shattered Hopes
Climbing on tress of thorny flesh
with palms of broken heart
pushing with feet of captivating crushes hugging it chest to chest to bleed.
Pregnant with foods of tomorrow
cooked in the kitchen of sick fate
steaming evaporational flaming smoke
piercing eyeball to flowing rivers.
Broken Pitchers
Smitten Faces
Fuming Anger
Purging Aim.
Protruted sleeve at hems of our wares
kiss the pain in our eye
when hopes battle with future
shattered with daggers of negligence.
Thanks for this opportunity to share out my mind to the world am honored
