The newly appointed South Sudanese Minister for Water Resources and Irrigation, Mabiour Garang De Mabiour, was on Friday kicked out of the council of ministers meeting by President Salva Kiir Mayardit.

Hon Garang was denied from attending the Transitional Government of National Unity cabinet’s second meeting for wearing inappropriate clothes.

Mabiour Garang dressed himself in a black suit with white shirt inside and a butterfly bow neck tie.

Minister Garang later posted his picture on his Facebook page saying the president should have only focused on serious matters such as the fuel shortage in the country, and that people are still in UNMISS Protection of Civilians camps.

The Minister changed his attire to a supposedly more conservative and traditional tie, but was barred by the president’s bodyguards from re-entering the meeting.

All council ministers do not use butterfly style ties in South Sudan, as the honorable member is very much now aware.
