Love people beyond their flaws

Trust people beyond their insecurities

Understand people beyond their errs

Accept people and all they are

That love is not for the faint-hearted is a lesson of this life

Our needs, our cravings

Our wants and vanities

Years and years of toil so dear

All at once come merging to score

That surety is not a sure thing

Is a lesson of this life

We never really lost a thing

Tide and market come and go

And all our dear beliefs- an Ignis Fatuus

That we fear deeper things

Reaching for truth and score

Is a lesson of this life

Smile, My Friend

When things fall apart

When the pieces just won’t fit

When emotions let you down

When the future is so blur

Remember, my dear friend

You are the best; I will be there

When all your downs are past and gone

When you see the light of ups

Then you look back and you smile

For only then you understand

So when the downs are here and now

Then the ups are not so far

Appreciate the little joys

All it needs- your smile to stay

When this life seems all too hard

Remember, my dear friend

Love is a beautiful thing

The lovely things are hard to get

The faintest hearts get the fair of them

Faint hearts and minds like sparks of light

Few yet strong

Small yet powerful

Faint yet immovable

When dear friend, you find these ones

But situations won’t let go

Remember you are the best; I will be there

Is this the worst that life could get?

It takes your smile to get its best

And if joy shows you not its spark

Look beyond your little chest
