That Is Human
We are born into the worst is true
you disable me, you saw the blackness
In me and you felt fear, I hold my hands up
for you to see, I am only human.
Just like you.
with only a shade of color within.
You disable me.
you disable me with a classification
somewhat forgotten, but i carried it on
to the next unity
I hold my hand up for you to see!
i am only human, just like you.
Shame not on my forehead.
I am you!
you are me!
I embrace who I am!
black and white are
only colors.
that Is human.
I am from the songs of liberty
I stand tall!
my fathers and mothers pave my way.
I stand tall!
I am unity.
upon my feet I shall walk
with victory i stand!
I hold my hand high
it reach the sky!
my Creator
created me.
I am only human , just like you.
that Is human.
A Shade Of Grace
I stood behind the shadow of fear.
It was like a paper bag with a tilt
because of the color of my shade
perhaps a beaten soul
that was rape from existence
I stood tall behind the shadow of
fear, I felt empty I crumbled over
fear and stood my ground. I hush
my fear, below my feet.
I grasp the feeling In my gut.
and close my eyes and listen to my inner
thoughts, I felt free I am from the hands of
grace, my experience is my journey a lesson
felt over a shadow of grace.
Opal, I am proud to know of your work and to see such sublime representation here. Your writing is magnificently extraordinary and most necessary to be read, to be shared within all media sites as much as possible, to be seen and savoured; truly inspirational and as exquisitely beautiful as you so are. Outstanding.
