Xtacy

Dreams hatched in the mind of a young soul are wishfully tagged a reality when pursued. In doing so, hard work is the key element. Time anyway must be valued, as XtaCy hooked it- “no time to waste…”

Living this, it transcends, vapouring the nostrils, gluing the eyes open and thinning the veins to survive the stormy rotation of the earth.

One thing to my realization as an arts enthusiast stems from the fact of the talented youth in Africa tussling to connect the dots of life with divinity endowed parcels. Like in the verse of Worlasi: “…they will make you feel like you no good, when you’re best”. One might reach the highest point of perfection in his/her circle of creativity through nights and days of little or no rest. Yet, people would deliberately lessen the effort and hard work; with intoxicated, paralyzed and dirty words of action and inactions. No one would seem to care except when the soul readily manifests, prompts and allows that talent a space for action into a purposeful living- when seen heaping the pocket. Indeed, until the honey slowly falls, the masses’ recognition, acceptance and trust lurks to scene the drama into a tragic set up identity.

When it comes to fishing out and painting young talents who cough to greatness with lyrical dexterity and consciousness into the hearts of the weak, “Supreme Rights” does it all. Since its inception, it could be recounted, however, that many things- artistic from the camp serves as a motivational catalyst for one or two in different ways. ‘Worlasi’ is a classic case. Along the line, another voice in the rolling pot (XtaCy) has landed with chameleon-like goose bumps when heard on the track. The song, which also features Kwame X, shows the persistency in achieving a goal- “Mentumi nda o, charley kyes3 m’ay3 yie”: which literally means he cannot sleep until he succeeds.

Finally, Qube‘s undefeated and masterminded trap beats have stood a propellant for the journey.
