We all know the meaning of the word ‘Justice’ but out of curiosity I looked it up in a dictionary to read a modern description.

What it doesn’t state is the philosophical meaning of the word, the very reason for it being a word.
Injustice is also limited in its depiction as inferring an unfair situation, but that is the mild end by way of meaning.
Unfair may be someone being responsible for saying, or doing something towards you or in your name that whilst unfair, is not in itself the worst possible meaning of Unjust/Injustice.
Unjust is inferred as unfair and not Just so explanations are circular, a platitude of itself.
In old school terms the meanings of Injustice, Unjust or Not Just, were always reserved for the serious side of things.
The disaster (of Unjust) was encapsulated by false claims made against the poor victims of the Hillsborough Disaster. Young and old alike were crushed to death whilst attending a football match, yet the victims were also blamed for their own fate.
As this whole story has, at last, reached the Criminal Prosecution stage, with six people in prominent positions of responsibility on that dreadful day now charged, the media had to be fair in what it said and not go into details which may have negated a trial.
It has taken the Campaign of bereaved families to battle for ‘Justice’ since 1989, and Wednesday’s announcement brought them closer to the Justice they deserve and their ‘day in Court’ where truth finally prevailed from all the evidence gathered to support their claims.
One woman did say that sadly her Mother died in April this year so was unaware that her Son (and Brother of lady talking to a reporter), will finally, albeit belatedly, have the truth told about his death that day.
Allegedly lies and cover-ups would also be disclosed for others to respond concerning their actions, inactions, and culpability in comments and statements – it is claimed collusion was a common factor therein as to alleged false and similarly phrased record taking.
It is a long time to wait for Justice since 1989 but if one is lucky to achieve same, then it is well worth the wait, though Injustice should not happen in the first place.
For the record ‘Justice’ in old and philosophical coinage, stands for honour, integrity, a Just way of living and treating others, and it is the ultimate virtue, under which umbrella are other virtues, i.e. a Just man or woman will never murder, steal, hurt (physically or mentally), another person knowingly, they have a conscience and know the difference between right and wrong, they will try and help those in need of assistance in honourable ways.
Above all, their reputation as a Just and Honourable person means more to them than any material possession. Their soul is pure, as is their heart.
Against the events on that fateful day at Hillsborough one can readily see why only Justice will suffice.
For those who died RIP
