King of the Nuclear Hill

Dictator vs. Bully

vie for King of the Nuclear Hill

not caring how many innocents

die in the process

Young madman vs. aging dotard

demand we worship guided missiles

and eulogize Apollo

Pickets protest in the streets

athletes kneel during national anthem

still the insanity continues

God died

a long time ago

mercifully.

Crone Commentary

Aging

more time spent in silence

more time with time itself

a buffet of perfection

a dinner invitation extended

I accept

Breathing in

   I am creation

I am eternity

I am here now

Breathing out

molecules fall free

cells follow

form disappears

no heartbeat

no DNA

no regret

time invites me to cross over

“Over what?” I ask

“there is no divide.”
