“Be Best”

The “Be Best” campaign

Against cyber bullying

Took a hit the other day

With the way

Roseanne Barr

Tweeted her humorless humor

With an insult based

On subhuman comparisons

That have a hateful history

White people in America

Don’t understand

And keep denying,

Relying on situation comedies

To reflect a society

That validates the attitudes

Of privileged supremacy

Over opposing perspectives

Races and religions.

The initiative

Is aimed at kids,

And target rich,

But adults aren’t helping,

Though they need to

Because the First Lady

Only had one bullet

And it was fired

From a tired podium.
