Dampened Whims
Pray,
The skies have opened their mouths
To spill out their wish
Yes, seek they to see a new course
And a new momentum
For a river which was slowly drying up!
Seek they to see it filled with fish
And an ambient atmosphere
Allowing water nymphs
To make love as much as they would want to
In its depth
Allowing frogs
To sing operas and night concerts
At free will
Allowing the moon
To blush at its reflection in there
For a river it would be
So clear, so calm and so mighty at the same time!
The river water is ready for such
Enough had it had of its dried up stage
Enough of its solitude
But the river source seems not to understand
Bubbling happily with life,
It sees not the suffering of the river bed
Sees it solely its purpose
That of allowing its water to be
So as to please the little habitations
That surround it!
Why, the river water yearns to open its mouth
And beg, if need be,
For the source to do as the skies will
But since it remains dependent upon it
And upon life’s rules
It can do nothing other than keep
Drizzling its thin flow towards the ocean
Hoping that someday all of its mass
Shall get absorbed in the ocean
Thereby allowing it no time for suffering!
Meanwhile, among its watery flow,
Sheltered are the fairies of Hope,
Why, Life remains unpredictable
Someday, it might be
That its source,
Opens its vibrant sensitivity
To its tender one!
