The Trump Dump
Mummy, daddy, where have you gone
I miss the sun and the way it shone
they say I’m an alien, but I’m not from Mars
my cries echoing through these cold steel bars
I thought we were going to a better place
a land with no discrimination of race
that’s what you told me, that’s what you said
but now I can’t get these images out of my head
Babies are crying, lonely and afraid
hungry and tired their fears won’t fade
I can’t understand how we got to this cell
please come and save me from this gruesome hell
They said they’re just going to ask you some questions
so you went along without any objections
but it’s been days and when I query
they say you’re lost, I don’t buy their theory
I don’t know if I’ll ever see you again
the way they’re treating us is inhumane
Chasing stars and stripes… and we end up in a dump
all because of a policy by Donald Trump
Mummy, daddy, where are you
Please let the world see what we’re going through
